Our farm is divided into three sections
Our FLUBSYS's (Floating Upweller System) are essential to our operation. Here we grow out our oyster's from a few millimeters to roughly half an inch. Our upwellers are custom made to optimize waterflow and seed capacity. At either end of each upweller, half horse power Ice Eaters blow water outwards to circulate fresh algae to the oysters.
Following the same concept of our Upwellers, our Rafts utilize the water to it's maximum. Within our three rafts, over a million oysters at market size can be held and accesed at a moments notice. In order to provide suffecient algae to all oysters, additional Ice Eaters are placed surrounding the rafts and in the center of the raft.
Renown for it's strong currents and clean water, Southold Bay is the location of our final grow out spot. Here our Diamond Jim's mature and grow to market size.
